5. International Data Transfers

Sentinella LLC is established in the United States with operations in Belgium. Where personal data collected in the European Economic Area is transferred to the United States or other countries without an adequacy decision, we implement appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented where necessary by additional technical and organisational measures. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards via the privacy contact above.

6. How Long We Keep Data

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact james@sentinellaglobal.com. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Belgium, the Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, dataprotectionauthority.be) — or with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or place of work.

8. Cookies

The Site uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

CategoryPurposeBasis
Strictly necessarySite operation and securityLegitimate interests — no consent required
AnalyticsUnderstanding how visitors use the Site so we can improve itConsent (via cookie banner)
Functional / embedded contentEmbedded forms and scheduling tools (e.g. demo booking)Consent (via cookie banner)

Non-essential cookies — including Google Analytics cookies — are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the Site footer, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings.

8.1 When Google Analytics loads

We want to be precise about this, because it is easy to describe misleadingly. We run Google Analytics in Google's "basic" consent mode, which means the Google Analytics tag is not loaded at all until you accept analytics cookies. Until then, your browser makes no request to Google, and your IP address is not disclosed to Google. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner and carry on reading, nothing is sent.

If you accept, we load Google Analytics and it sets its cookies (_ga and similar), which let us recognise returning visitors and measure sessions over time. Google acts as our processor for this, and the data is transferred subject to the safeguards described in Section 5.

You can withdraw consent at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the Site footer. Withdrawing stops further collection and deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent, and costs you no functionality: nothing on this Site depends on analytics.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, taking into account the state of the art, the risks presented, and the nature of the data processed (Art. 32 GDPR). No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and, where required, affected individuals in accordance with Articles 33–34 GDPR.

10. Children

The Site and Platform are business tools intended for professional users. They are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes affecting how we use your personal data, we will provide reasonable notice — for example by email to account holders or a prominent notice on the Site.
