Accessibility Statement

Sentinella LLC is committed to making sentinellaglobal.com usable by as many people as possible, regardless of disability or assistive technology. This statement explains how far we currently meet recognised accessibility standards, where we fall short, and how to tell us about a barrier.

1. Scope

This statement applies to the public website at sentinellaglobal.com, including our home page, Leadership page, compliance resources, and legal pages.

It does not cover the Mediterranean Watch intelligence terminal at mare.sentinellaglobal.com, which is a separate application with its own interface, nor third-party forms we embed or link to (see section 5). We intend to publish a separate statement for the platform.

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that while most of the standard is met, some content does not yet fully conform; the specific exceptions we are aware of are listed in section 5.

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA because it is the level referenced by the European Accessibility Act and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, and it is the level most commonly expected of commercial websites in the United States.

3. Measures We Have Taken

We have carried out a structured accessibility review of this website and made the following changes:

• Colour contrast (SC 1.4.3). Body text, labels, and interactive elements were measured against their actual rendered backgrounds and adjusted to meet the 4.5:1 minimum.
• Target size (SC 2.5.8). Footer links, legal links, and other small controls were enlarged so that touch targets meet the minimum size, which particularly affects users with motor impairments on touch devices.
• Focus visibility and focus not obscured (SC 2.4.11). Keyboard focus indicators are visible and are not hidden behind the sticky navigation bar.
• Text spacing (SC 1.4.12). Content remains readable and is not clipped when users override line height, letter spacing, or word spacing.
• Keyboard access. The site can be operated without a mouse. A "Skip to content" link is the first focusable element, dropdown menus are operable from the keyboard, and the Escape key closes open menus and returns focus to the control that opened them.
• Structure and semantics. Pages use a logical heading order, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes on navigation controls that reflect their expanded or collapsed state.
• Reduced motion. Animations and transitions are suppressed for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
• Resizing and reflow. Layouts are responsive and remain usable when zoomed or viewed on small screens, without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.

4. Technical Specifications

Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS, WAI-ARIA, and JavaScript. The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) on desktop, tablet, and mobile, used together with assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software.

5. Known Limitations

We would rather state our gaps plainly than overstate our conformance. We are aware of the following, and are working to address them:

• Product screenshots. Some images of the intelligence terminal and the MARIA assistant carry only short alternative text and do not yet have a full text equivalent describing the data shown in them. Users relying on a screen reader will not receive the detail contained in those images.
• Complex data tables. The MHTES methodology table expresses multi-dimensional relationships that may be harder to follow when read linearly by a screen reader than when viewed.
• Embedded and linked third-party forms. Demo and access requests are handled by a third-party form provider. We do not control that provider's code and cannot guarantee its conformance. If a third-party form prevents you from reaching us, please email us instead, using the address below, and we will process your request directly.
• Translated content. The Italian, Arabic, and Greek versions of this site are translated and may contain wording that reads less naturally than the English original.
• Assessment method. Our conformance claim is based on an internal self-assessment, supported by automated and manual testing. It has not been validated by an independent third-party accessibility audit. We are considering commissioning one.

If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information from it in a different format, please tell us. Accessibility feedback is welcome, and it is the fastest way for us to find problems we have missed.

Please include the page address, a short description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 10 business days. If we cannot resolve an issue quickly, we will tell you what we plan to do and when, and we will offer the information you were seeking by another means in the meantime.

7. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate. Visitors in the European Union may contact the national authority responsible for enforcing accessibility requirements in their country of residence. Visitors in Belgium, where our European headquarters is located, may contact Unia, the Belgian interfederal equal opportunities centre.

8. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 16 July 2026 following an internal review of this website against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, combining automated checks with manual keyboard, contrast, and screen-reader testing. We review it when the site changes materially, and at least once a year.
